Light and Dark

“The world would be better cascaded in shadows,” the Darkness said.
“But then the right path could never be found,” the Light replied, “Your existence is like a scar to the Earth.
A new figure emerged from the shadows, neither dark nor light. Cloaked in grey, the entity began to speak.
“You are both foolish! How can you not see that one of you cannot exist without the other?” The grey figure implored. “The purpose of the light is to drive back the dark, but without the dark, the light has no reason.”
“Then what of the dark? Why am I here?” asked the Darkness.
“The Darkness regulates the light. The opposing forces work in unison to guide the world into prosperity” the grey figure replied.
“And what are you? You are not light or dark,” the Light questioned.
“I am the product of your creation. I am the Balance between the dark and the light,” the grey figure responded.

  1. I really enjoy how your story's dialog has the light and dark arguing with each other and it is every well worded. The addition of the grey mediator is also a cool concept that makes you think. I also cant but see this type of argument happening in other contents and showing that these argument don't always have a right and wrong but maybe a middle where both sides are practically right.
